Tell us about your professional background. I am currently President of Alliance Material Handling, Inc., headquartered in Jessup, MD. We are an employee-owned (ESOP) fork lift dealer network with five locations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Alliance, I held several C-level positions in the lifting and rigging industry with Mazzella Companies of Cleveland, OH and The Indusco Group, Baltimore, MD. In 2011, I completed the sale and transition of privately held Indusco Group to Mazzella Companies.
Why did you choose to get involved with Building for God Community Foundation? Our very real impact on the community we serve through the monies we raise is the primary reason each of us puts forth the time and consistent effort with Building for God Community Foundation. However, I also take pride in the leadership exhibited within our communities by our Champions in Life recipients. I am excited for the future of this rapidly growing foundation and the lives we will positively affect.
In what ways are you connected to the community? I am a Baltimore native. I grew up in Towson, MD and currently live in Reisterstown, MD with his wife Kerry of thirty-three years. We have three daughters, one son and four grandchildren, all of whom live in the local community.
I also received my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University (1983), as well as my MBA (2001). I am also a graduate of Calvert Hall College High School (1979).
Is there any other information or fond BFGCF memories you’d like to share? I have great memories of the 2016 Champions in Life Gala. It was very special for my wife Kerry and I to have our four children and their spouses attend the event. They witnessed firsthand how important it is to give back in a meaningful way through the BFGCF.
